The title pretty much says it, I have a Verellen Meatsmoke 2 channel tube preamp pedal, I've profiled it and it's time to return it to the wild. So, I'm looking to trade it for a Broughton Quicksilver.

My Review:
The Meatsmoke is hands down the greatest dirt box I've ever laid hands on, It is absolutely everything it's hyped to be. It will do everything from gentle tube warmth to rich overdrive and then when you kick in the boost it goes from distortion to insane fuzz and they all sound spectacular. It doesn't really do clean and it's not a great preamp for getting a modern Hi-Fi slap tone but if you want any variety of tube grit the Meatsmoke is it. It broke up as nicely on my 60's passive Pbass as it did with my 18v active Smith and that is often not the case with dirt pedals. It's kinda big for a pedal but it could replace a tube amp and would be small in comparison to that. It doesn't have a DI and needs ac power but none of that matters because it sounds incredible.
