I've treated myself to a new Arcus S7 and the Vingo bow has now become superfluous! (I have an Arcus S6 and an older Concerto model).
This particular bow was the first German "Bouncy" Vingo made. They sent it to me with a snakewood Pfretzschner frog originally, but the frog cracked during shipment and they sent a snakewood Viennese frog. All their bows now come with the Viennese frog (see below).
This is a really good copy of an Arcus bow, and holds its own in an orchestra. Very light, but pulls a full, warm sound. I recently had it rehaired (black) and an ebony Pfretzschner-style frog put back on (which makes the bow even better IMO)
The TB discussion on the bows is here: https://www.talkbass.com/threads/vingobow-“rainbow-bouncy”.1588352/page-3#post-27395418
The Vingo link (with weight, length etc) is here: Master PURE Carbon Fiber Double bass Bow German Style TOP CF 4/4 Rainbow Bouncy | eBay
$350 + shipping (no case)
Thanks!
Louis
