Used ‘82 that was refinished by Wal in black with matching headstock. The bass has small marks in the finish consistent with its age and a small indent in the finish by the 9th fret but no structural or playing issues, some of the finish has chipped off the bridge but again does not affect the playability or sound. Brazilian mahogany core, burnt sycamore facings, straight maple/hornbeam neck, Indian Rosewood fingerboard and black/chrome hardware. Electronics recently serviced. It comes with a brand new Hiscox case in mint condition, also includes some additional spare parts from Wal: Black XLR connection, Flush ¼” assembly for right angle cable, switchcraft jack, master volume pot, additional caps and spare bridge screws. This bass was stolen and recovered in the mid-1990s. It does not have the original neck plate and the paper ID sticker had been removed (presumably by the thief), however the original spec’s and date can clearly be seen on the silver foil liner of the back plate. The bass was appraised by Pete Stephens at Wal in 1996 during refinish, letter also included. Weight: 10lbs
