This is a 2019 Wilcock Short Scale bass.

About Wilcock:
  • Wilcock basses are made in London. Tim Lefebvre plays one, Brandon Boone plays one. They are generally hard to come by, and only available in the US if you order one custom.
  • Check out his website: https://www.wilcocklondon.com/ and his facebook page: Wilcock London
About this bass:
  • I bought this bass in February from the Bass Gallery in London, and brought it back to Seattle.
  • When I bought it, it was "ex-demo", I paid £1200. There was no tax but I paid some import duties.
  • It is in generally good shape, meaning:
    • There is a ding between the bridge and the bridge pickup, between the D and G strings.
    • Misc surface scratches
    • The photos give an accurate representation, and fwiw it's in the same condition as when I bought it.
  • Check out these posts about this specific bass:

The Specs are:
  • 30 inch scale
  • 1.6 inch nut width, 2.175 inch width at 12th fret
  • Weight: 8 pounds 12 ounces
  • Rosewood fingerboard, maple neck with some flaming
  • Hipshot lightweight tuners
  • Kluson High mass bridge
  • Bartolini passive pickups
  • Vol-Vol-Tone, push/pull on the volume pots for series/parallel switching
  • Currently strung with D'Addario Chromes. Note - because of the bridge it takes medium scale strings.
  • High-res photos are here: https://photos.app.goo.gl/mu2jPu4erupvcbST8
I am selling this because I don't play as much short scale as I used to. $1600 plus actual shipping. I will ship it in an unremarkable gig bag.

Trades: mostly interested in a P-bass with a J neck - Lakland, Lakin, Moolon, Fender, etc. +/- cash as appropriate. I also like 1970s Ibanez basses. If it has 4 strings, try me :)

Thanks, Peter

Wow, these are awesome basses. I'm waiting on my Sandberg Lionel build, the Wilcock being the only other shorty that was truly tempting me. Someone will get lucky, glwts!
