    This is a very nice made-in-Japan Yamaha BBP34 P/J bass. I'm only selling it because I'm moving and need to down size my gear collection.

    The thing that most stands out about this bass to me is that it has a lot of growl, clarity, and a way more present top end compared to other Fender-style instruments I've played. I've tried a few different sets of pickups in it too, so it's definitely coming from the wood/construction and not the electronics.

    The bass currently has a set of EMJ Geezer P/J pickups in it, which I think complement the natural sound of the instrument really well (my favorite of all the sets I tried in it when I first got it). I'll also include the original Yamaha pickups. It's in great shape except for some light scratches on the body (not through the finish) and on the pickguard that won't show up in photos.

    Weight is right around 9 pounds by the bathroom scale method. Will ship in original Yamaha hard case that is also in great condition. Asking $850 shipped CONUS.
