Engelhardt bass, suitable for a starter bass or a bluegrass player. Serial number 0417, built in 1972, two years after production of Kay basses was taken over by Engelhardt. Very good condition with light wear in the usual places. Has decent Spirocore strings on it. As with many of these basses, the end pin is a brass rod with a crutch tip, that actually works better than the original -- never slips.
I will sell just the bass for $1200, including a serviceable French bow. Local pickup in the SF Bay Area or nearby. I have a complete set of accessories that I will sell for half what I paid -- if you buy the bass. Otherwise, you can make an offer on the individual items. Here are the items and what I paid:
Bag $170 (new from Gollihur)
Hercules stand $50 (used)
Wheel $50 (used)
Pickup $45 (new from Vic's Pickups; sounds great)
