A fantastic early L2000! Well played and fully functional, with plenty of fret life left.
This one is hard to let go of, but I'm mostly playing short scale these days. I can't say anything bad about this instrument, really. There is typical checking in the finish and a few dings here and there that pre-date my owning the bass. The neck is smooth, fast and very comfortable to play. There's a reasonable patina on the chrome bits. As mentioned earlier, everything works and the electronics operate smoothly and quietly. The preamp does a great job producing exactly what you'd expect.
Comes with the hard case pictured. It's a replacement, but the nicest G&G case I own, despite having been shipped between here, Italy and Hawaii with me.
The neck is straight, and I haven't needed to adjust the truss rod so I can not attest to how it functions. If you like, I can check on it for you. [edit] I have been asked about the truss rod, and am pleased to say that the 3/8" truss rod actuates freely with tension as expected. No squeaks, cracks or other noises from the neck. [/edit]
Why am I getting rid of it?
I really do hate to. I'm between jobs at the moment, though and need to find better homes for the instruments that didn't make my every day list. My asking price is negotiable, but not extremely so.
Not looking for trades, sorry. Price may seem a little high, but it includes professional packing, shipping and insurance to the Continental US. As a prior service member, I am willing to discuss shipping to Alaska, Hawaii & FPO/APOs.
Thanks for taking the time to read through and comment!
