Beautiful Vintage Warwick, 1988 thumb 5 NT. MEC electronics. In great condition for a 30 year old bass, some dings and scratches but nothing major. Thought I was going to keep this one but my taste in basses has changed. Cash price is firm (similar bass on Reverb for 1K more) trade value at 3K, these older Warwicks only increase in value. Price includes insurance and shipping to the lower 48. Trade interests Roscoe, MTD, Smith, Elrick +\- cash as necessary. Feel free to ask question. Please PM me with offers.

***some questions I'm getting: truss rod functions properly and no separation noted from the wings and neck***

What is control serup?

Original electronics?

You know it's history at all?

Do you have a serial number report from Warwick with specs?

Why you selling?

Controls are standard (from headstock) stacked push/pull with volume/ pickup pan control, mid tone control, stacked Bass/ treble tone control.

Not sure if the electronics are original, it has MEC's (Warwick standard)

I received this bass in trade for my 88 thumb 4 from a fellow TB'er about a year ago.

Haven't Got Warwick report yet ( I've just decided to part with it)

I've been playing my thumb 5 BO Warwick for 20 years (still love it and not fir sale) I have now fell in love with the afore mentioned bass in my trade list. I've come to the realization that if I'm not playing something it's time for something new :)

Can we get a pic of inside the electronics compartments? That stacked knob in the volume position likely isn't original and I'm wondering what's inside.

Volume/balance----Mid----Bass/treble correct? If so, I think thats a the newer preamp as the old ones were'nt PCB boards but a plastic rectangle filled with resin and wires coming from it, kinda like the way the Aguilars OBPs' look nowadays. I thought these older Thumbs had a 2 band only. I just sold my 91 on here and it had what Im speaking of in it, 2 band only, non PCB
