This is a 1997 Pedulla Pentabuzz that I got form "Swpyne", who purchased directly from Brian Barrett who owns The Low End in Tennessee. It was his personal bass. I rarely gigged with this bass and only used it for recording sessions. It feels and sounds fantastic.
The bass weighs in a 9 pounds, 6 ounces.
This one has the narrower 17.5 MM string spacing at the bridge which I personally prefer.
It does have some wear on the fingerboard but it plays just fine. It's mostly cosmetic as these fingerboards show wear right away if round would strings have been used. I'm sure some of it could easily be buffed out by a qualified luthier if desired.
Apparently sometime before Brian owned it, the end of the truss rod broke off. There is now a slot for a stout flat blade screwdriver in the end of the nut.
So we all know that Michael Pedulla has retired and is no longer selling or supporting Pedulla bass guitars. As a result, the prices on these basses have gone up. Finding one in good shape for $4,000 or less is getting much harder.
It does have some small wear and this bass plays and sounds great.
