2002 Doolin Custom Classical Guitar
11/13/2021 SOLD to a contact outside TB and on its way to New York!
I'm liquidating my entire guitar collection due to increasing problems with my hands as I age.
In 2002, I commissioned this beautiful guitar with Mike Doolin of Portland, Oregon. It is a very unusual double cutaway medium jumbo, called, “Sarah K.”, finished August, 2002. It was restrung and set up January 10, 2018. It has remained virtually unplayed since the setup.
Mike’s guitars are superbly crafted, sound wonderful, and are hard to find.
Here are the specs.
Neck:
Mahogany
Ebony fingerboard
Ebony headstock facings, front and back
Ebony overlay on heel cap
Hand carved Ebony tuner buttons
Abalone side dots
Tusq nut
Width at nut = 2 1/8”
Width at 12th fret = 2 3/8”
25 ½” scale

Back and sides are Black Walnut

This guitar, although 19 years old, is in flawless condition. I have only played it at home in my music room. It has lived its entire life in my year round climate controlled music room where I maintain temperature between 68 and 72 degrees and the humidity at 40 - 45 percent.
The case is flawless except for a small blemish on the handle.
My price is $6,000.00 US, shipped, insured CONUS. I only accept PayPal and only ship to a PayPal verified address. I am not shipping internationally at this time.
It is better if you message me on this forum with questions. I don't check the thread every day, but check for messages several times a day, so if you message me I typically can respond within a couple of hours.
Thanks for looking at my Doolin.
