'Tis a sad day. I never thought I'd have to do this, but... I have to part ways with my beloved Wal Mk1. I'm not even going to go into details of why I have to sell it. I'll never be able to get one like this without having to painfully save & wait a very long time. Kudos to whoever the lucky buyer will be.
With that out of the way, for sale is my 2017 Wal Mk1 "Geddy Lee" Spec. Serial #W4257. Built by Paul Herman in March 2017. Mahogany body, Indian Ebony Fingerboard, black gloss finish, & gold hardware. This bass is in immaculate condition with a ruler straight neck paired with stupid low action. Frets are in great shape and do not need any attention. The preamp boards are brand new as of fall 2022. The original preamp boards were suffering from shorting out at random times. Paul had me send the original preamp boards into Wal HQ for servicing and ended up sending me brand new boards after spending 2 weeks trying to troubleshoot them. Included in the case is the invoice / documentation for this service. With that said, you'll now not have to worry about servicing these preamp boards for 10+ years. Also included is a brand new Wal winter hat to keep you warm.
I understand this is a very expensive purchase. I am willing to hold the bass on a $3,000.00 non-refundable deposit for two weeks time if this will help in any way before the balance is to be paid. I am located in Northwest Indiana and will offer local pickup should you wish to come collect it in person. Of course, I can also ship the instrument fully insured via UPS. I'm asking $20,000 USD via PayPal. Other payment methods can also be discussed.
