Up for grabs today is this beautiful Gibson SB-300, an SG-style short scale with single coils and a Fenderesque control plate that was produced for a few years in the 1970s. These are rare as hen's teeth and have become desirable as they "fixed" a lot of the classic EB-0 issues. Not to mention they look like total hot rods!
This one plays super well, the neck is laser straight and action is consistent and low. It had a home-refin job at some point that I think only adds to the charm
The actual finish quality is so-so but thankfully no oversanding occured. As far as I know, the bass is all-original with the exception of the bits I personally added - truss rod cover, replacement Gibson decal, and Fender ashtray bridge cover (the bridge underneath is original.) It'll ship insured in a very form-fitting hard case - that I do not know whether is original or not, but it's in good shape!
