This is a cool device (I have two of them). I sometimes use it with my Eminence, but not with my Shen. I've lately been using it (the only pedal that I use) with my Rickenbacker bass at blues jams, where I'm the lone cresting wave in a sea of Fenders.

This version of the Exciter has 10 MOhms impedance and, in addition to the 9V battery, it can be powered by any wall wart whose plug will fit the socket.
