Up for sale is basically a brand new Adamović Katana 6. I've had this on order and it just showed up about two weeks ago. I really wanted to give the six string a try again, and I'm basically still a five string player overall. I feel a little bad putting it up for sale so soon, but I'm going to stick to my fives. Nikola did an incredible job on this instrument.
If you want to know what this bass sounds like, go look up Moto Fukushima. It is basically the exact same tone. You can get a bit brighter than Moto does since I am pretty sure he is turning down his treble, but this bass has a very full, even tone. Nikola said he thought this bass came out "amazing.' It has to be the easiest playing six I've ever tried, and his focus on ergonomics makes the feel of playing the bass really stand out. It also hangs perfectly on your body to where it feels a lot lighter than the 9.5 pounds that it is. Also this bass has the best fretwork I've seen from any builder, it's immaculate and the care given to each fret shows. The koa is lighter than most koa's I've seen, but it is indeed highly figured and a very beautiful bass. Photos don't really do it justice. I tried to take some in different lighting conditions as you can probably see.
