Hippy (Hippie) Dippy Trippy P5:
I picked this up not to long ago. I assume that a previous owner had modified it as it has a double battery box routed in the rear of the body and it had an Aquilar OBP-3 preamp installed and the original pickguard modded with and additional hole. I have removed the Aquilar preamp and installed a RS Guitarworks Vintage PBass wiring harness and a custom black/sparkle pickguard that I had from another bass (luckily it fit perfect). Also, it had white block inlay stickers on the fretboard. I managed to get them off and return it to it's original look. Bass plays wonderful. I'm only selling because I have an AC 81009 which has a more chunky neck. The neck on this one is much thinner (front to back) than I'm used to. I can't say it has any cosmetic issues as I believe these were made sort of relic'd. The pickguard I put on is a little rough right around the pickup on the B string side. Other than that it's ready to go. Currently has a set of LaBella flats (the ones made for AC). Comes with a nice vintage looking G&G case and you can have the old pickguard and preamp if you want it. The wiring from the battery box is still there should you want to add a different preamp.
