@semiprohooker Prior to snagging a Zehyr, I ran mine into a simple but decent DI. I tried a Radial Pro and a Radial Pro48. They both worked great. In my case I preferred the passive Pro as the 48 was a little more 'zingy'. Other folks might prefer the extra zing though... I did some gigs with just the Oracle and Radial Pro to FOH and took a line back from FOH to a powered monitor (Yamaha DSR-112). I didn't get quite the low end I enjoy on stage after adjusting the EQ for FOH but it was more than workable. Sound guy was over the moon with what he had out front... The Yamaha doesn't make much low end so that was kinda my issue.

Anyway, great deal on an Oracle and should you need DI as well... a simple but good passive will do the trick.

I know I prefer a JDI to a J48 most times, so I'd be inclined to agree with you here. My issue is that of real estate. I need a small pedalboard to fly with. HX Stomp and a Oracle/Capo/Caveman/Noble is the way I'm looking.

@semiprohooker DI from the Stomp ? Stage bug ? I like my HX Stomp a lot but... I don't run it with the Zephyr. I didn't love it in front of my F1X based rig either. Some of the magic of those preamps seemed to be lost. I tried similar stuff years go with a Demeter. Felt the same way. They really seem to want the bass direct in.

What worked better for me in finding 'my' tone was a SushiBox Underground Accellerator ahead of the HX. I did not do that with the Oracle due to the real estate as I was trying for a small board.
