I bought this string NOS last Summer. When I had a Eudoxa E break last week, I replaced it with this Artone until I could get a replacement... so it was on my bass for three days.
It's a gut string, wrapped with round wire.
Seems to be a durable string, fairly stiff for gut. It didn't take ages for tuning to stabilize. A strong punchy attack. Great for pizz, can't recommend it if you play mostly arco.
