1998 62 AVRI body, was routed professionally for easy truss rod access. I'll add a link to earlier posts from the fellow who did that. I believe the bridge is original to the body. Body has wear, it has toured Europe. And it sounds magnificent.
58 AVRI electronics (pickups, pots, cap, all of it). If I thought it would sound better with different gear, I would have swapped it out. You won't want to either. It is amazing.
Tan tweed fender hard case in good condition (some slight wear and slight discoloration, no other issues, functionally perfect no smells etc).
Overall this bass is a Monster in player grade. Sound is awesome. Nicest P I have ever played much less owned. The neck is fabulous, but it's got it's share of scars. Still has the H Gastelum shape and feel.
Body is legit but many dings scuffs etc.
I love the tone but need to scale back.
Will need a quick fret level, I get a light buzz on e 12th and with bends. My action is slightly lower than spec so it might be ok... If I have time to square it away I will update the ad and raise the price accordingly.
I was going to keep this one and sell my Jazz Bass but it hasn't budged, so this beast has to go, now. The neck alone is a near 40 year old treasure you won't and shouldn't see on a bass for under $3k. Now fretted with stainless frets, it's set for another 50 years easy (playing with flats maybe 100). Truss rod is smooth and functions perfectly. Sets up to spec just snug with TI Flats (strings under a year old).
Zero mod thumb rest replaces existing screw hole.
Weighs 8 pounds 14 ounces.
Wife turns 50 soon. Need the funds.
$1250 PayPal packs it well and ships conus within 1 business day. You will love it.
