BaCH Non-Reverse Thunderbird Bass
Very cool Czech-made Thunderbird bass in translucent cherry red finish w/ matching headstock. This is about the closest you can get to a real vintage 1960s Gibson non-reverse T-bird without the several thousand dollar price tag. These BaCH replicas are no longer in production, so even these are few and far between to find for sale nowdays (only about 30 or 40 were made as far as I’ve been told). I believe this one was made around 2010. Pearl dots, no tummy cut. It’s in very nice shape with only a few minor marks here and there, and a couple small scuffs on the end of the headstock (see pic). These are very well made instruments, and this one is no exception. The bass plays and sounds great, neck is straight, low action, smooth playability up and down the board. Truss rod works good, fretwork is surprisingly very good too!
This bass has a more authentic aftermarket pickguard with the actual “bird” on it (these basses came with plain white guards from the factory). Body and neck are both mahogany like the original T-birds, nice wood grain too. It’s a set neck bass, rosewood fretboard, 1.5” nut. Great tone! I used to own a ‘64 Gibson T-bird II and this bass actually sounds pretty close to that one. Comes with a padded gig bag.
