So one of my Bass mentors suggested that I try a compressor and recommends the Spectra Comp ("or, you can try a zillion of them like I did and then get one") and low and behold @jaibeau has one for sale and lives 10 minutes away and we are both in town... It's a sign I tell ya... now I have to go to one of his shows...
