Had issues with the bass

I purchased a BSX T bass from derekcbass and the bass was cosmetically as described. However, there was a problem with the pickup that was undisclosed. When playing arco, the string balance (referring to volume) was totally off. One string was way too loud, two were dead quiet. The seller claimed to not have ever played arco on this bass and therefore not know about the issue and I do believe him (for this reason I am not leaving negative feedback,) however he also did not make it right by helping me out to ship the bass to BSX for repairs which is all I asked. I contacted Dino at BSX who said it was most likely a problem with the placement of the transducers. Between shipping the bass and the actual cost of the repair I am out another $300 which is pretty disappointing to say the least. Once again, I do not believe that derekcbass sold this instrument to me with the mal intent but more (or anything really) could have been done to make it right.
