Several years ago I bought this unit with a package deal with an Ampeg 810, and some other gear. Price was too good to pass up. I was not interested in the BBE product. I have had lackluster experiences with previous BBE sonic products. And heard similar feedback from other musicians (as well as guitarists). I was pleasantly surprised that the BBE BMAX can stand on its own as a bass pre-amp. It is definitely a solid piece of gear. It does what it says it does.
Pics show the features. Includes Passive and Active inputs. Bright switch. Gain, Treble, Mid, Bass, Parametric EQ, and compressor, as well as the BBE sonic maximizer function. And of course, Master volume.
This unit functions normal as it should. The lighting in the pics really highlight the blemishes. It will look good in your rack. No rack rash. All buttons/functions work normal.
Happy to sell the Carvin Power amp if interested. It is very basic, and heavy. Will sell for $50, and another $50 to ship (unless actual shipping costs are less).
Then you could have a great pre amp/power amp combo for $255, and you would be good to go!
