Hi fellow TB'ers. Up for your consideration is a Fender Custom Shop 1964 "Time Machine" Jazz Bass. Built in 2000, it is finished in olympic white and you can see that the custom shop team took a lot time and effort in yellow-aging the finish complete with finish cracks and the usual relicking, and the aged looks on the tuning keys and control plate etc add to the whole vibe.

I set it up to how I play (just under the Fender standard of 5/64 on the 15th fret), with the neck pick-up adjusted specifically for slapping. But everything sounds very even as you play it. And it has a ton of tones, a simple dial up gets it done.

For the sake of disclosure, the previous owner did who knows what with the case. I purchased a Fender Custom Shop case for it, but for the 1964 basses, the lining is orange. This one is in red, and it certainly creates natural drama every time you open the case with a tons of room for storage in it. The case itself is in very good shape. I do not know if the bass came with an ash tray and neck pick-up cover, neither were there when I purchased it, but no screws were ever screwed into this bass in those areas.

Like the original '64, it has reverse tuning keys and a beautiful flame maple neck. I tried to show that but the photos don't seem to do it justice. I would say this weighs approx 8.5 lbs. I strung EB Slinky's on this 45-100, and it seems to compliment to bass very nicely. Asking $3,300, buyer pays shipping and I will make sure this is well protected for the trip. I take PayPal (use Goods & Services to protect us both!), Zelle, and of course, CASH IS KING for those of you who are local to the Atlanta area. I had this bass confirmed that it was the real deal and currently awaiting on the COA (Certificate of Authenticity) from Fender which will be here any day. You know the dimensions of this bass I suspect but I would be happy to answer whatever questions you have. Thank you!

Oh! I was just showing what I had available to get paid. How should I be handling that? I was not attempting to eschew any fees.
