I know I am going to regret selling this, but G.A.S. has gotten the better of me and I need to let this one go.

Here's a rare Bossa OBJ-5 fretless in lovely condition with minimal marks on the back and two minor details on the top (bridge is a little faded due to muting technique and one of the tone knobs is missing the top cap). Otherwise, the bass is extremely clean and sounds killer. Comes with a new gigbag and will be shipped in an SKB hardshell bass case.

Re trades: I'm interested in basses with mahogany bodies, 6-string Roscoe and MTDs;also interested in smaller 4 ohm cabinets.

Beautiful instrument. I have a fretted OBJ-5 with a maple board. These Bossa basses don't come up often and are a great value for the money.

GLWTS.

Thanks. Yeah, when I bought this bass, I had every intention of putting frets on it:) Still not a bad idea for anybody out there who might be looking for this particular Bossa model.

I was looking at this bass when it sold not long ago from another site. I've lusted after a Bossa OBJ since I saw Armand Sabal Lecco play wit Stanley long ago. I also happen to play Fretless. This bass is stellar. Please don't fret it! Heh. It ain't the right time for me. Unless you'd want a Warwick Streamer Stage 1 5 fretless. Luck with the sale, man. This bass is incredible.

What's the weight? Do you happen to have any sound clip for reference?

Two sound clips: Bossa - Google Drive

In both clips, I start with single coil (back pickup, 50/50, front pickup) and then dual coil (back pickup, 50/50, front pickup). My treble is in the middle, and bass and mids are just slightly boosted. I am playing through a Mesa Prodigy tube amp with 112 Scout extension. Hopefully this gives you a hint of the tones possible with this bass...

I would love to get this bass sold and shipped by Monday. Only trades I am considering are nice 6-string basses (Yamaha, Alembic, Roscoe, Pedulla) and I have up to $500 for the right one.
