Hey folks. I have a Carvin B2000 that is not functioning 100%. I can plug it in right now and play on it and it will work fine for awhile until I push it, then it may randomly cut out and sounds distorted at a low output. I can play at about half volume and it won't happen. The clip light seems to be prematurely blinking. The only thing I have tried to do to fix it is a tube swap......which did nothing different. I contacted Carvin CS and they told me to clean the ribbon connection....which I never did because I'm over this amp anyhow. They also said they would fix the problem at cost (no bs exchange program thing)
This started happening to the amp after it had been sitting for 2 years (indoors)
Other than that, the amp is in very good physical condition. It has a few scratches from going in and out of the rack a couple times. I also replaced the top lid screw pictured as the original stripped out.
I figure someone who is handy with amps may be able to fix this guy up for next to nothing. Or get it diagnosed by a repair guy.
Asking $200 shipped CONUS. I will knock off $25 for local pickup. MO or PP works for me.
This amp is sold as is and I've fully disclosed the condition. No warranty is expressed or implied.
I'm always up for trades.
