Details

I am the original owner of this one. Had it made by Cataldo. It was sold here and I managed to get it back. Selling for medical expenses that recently came up.

(Below is from my old add. Pictures are recent)

Made up of the following items:
  • Solid walnut body (made by Cataldo Bass) "Big Bottom" style w/ double P pickups. (String through or top load bridge options)
  • Warmoth standard J-5 neck: roasted maple neck and fretboard, rosewood peghead veneer, clear satin finish, 1-7/8" nut width, 34" scale, SS6150 fret wire, 20 frets.
  • Hipshot Black Tuners w/ Hipshot string retainer.
  • Hipshot B Style bridge (string spacing is similar to Fender American 5 strings, +/- 18-18.5mm). String through or top load option.
  • (2) Aguilar AG 5P-60CL pickups.
  • Passive Volume-Volume-Tone controls.
Weight is approximately 9 lb., 14 oz.

Body is used but in excellent condition except for a small +/- 1" mark on back of body (see pictures). I originally had the body made by Cataldo and it had a different neck on it when purchased. I had sold the bass here on TB and then recently bought the body back. The current neck, Hipshot tuners and string tree are all brand new and just installed on the body. Strings are Thomastik-Infeld Flats.

Asking: $575 + $75 shipping
Paypal ok
Gigbag shown is included.

I keep looking at this and attempting the following mantra:
"I have enough basses
I have enough basses
I have enough basses"
But this looks so freaking awesome!

It plays awesome as well. I would not be getting rid of it if it wasn’t for the bills!

Sweet bass; sweet price. If it was fretless I'd be all over it. It would cost you twice the asking price just in parts to construct it yourself. GLWTS

Well, technically you could buy the other fretless bass I have listed and swap the necks........Just sayin' ;)

Color me intrigued. Do you have any means to make a sound clip/video so we can hear what it sounds like?
