Up for sale is a Chinese made generic Jazz Bass neck, styled like a Fender.
I bought this off of eBay a few months ago. The link to the auction on eBay is here:
Yellow Maple 21 FretNeck For Electric Jazz Bass Guitar Neck Parts Replacment | eBay
I got it for price, the darker maple tint and 21 frets. The problem I experienced is that while the neck fits a Fender body, the heel is about a 1/2" too deep. This would require either sanding/cutting the heel of the neck back, cutting the heel pocket of the body deeper, or adjusting the bridge by a half inch (which alters the tone significantly on a Jazz type bass, though not nearly as much on a Precision type bass). The neck is drilled (by me) for tuners, string retainer, and four-hole attachment at the heel.
Price is $15 + shipping (most likely $10).
