I have decided to sell my beautiful Clement bass, purchased in 2010. The only reason I am selling is that the neck is a little wide for my comfort. This was my main ax for a long time but recently I bought a bass that fits my hands better so I haven't played the Clement in a while even though it is a much nicer bass. The spec's from the Tom's website:

The only difference is that a few years ago the preamp started draining batteries in like one day. I taped it up and made sure it wasn't physically grounded, but I couldn't fix the problem. So I pulled out the pre-amp and installed a pre-wired J harness from Best Bass Gear (which means the rear most knob is a dummy). I accidentally connected the pickups backwards, so the blend knob is counter-intuitive. I can fix it before shipping if you like. Also, I still have the preamp so I can include it if requested. It might be a simple fix. I was just digging the passive tone so I never looked into it. However, the bass was more versatile with the preamp, and the output is not really strong from the barts. I usually run into a GK MB500 and a 12" fearful and have no problem with volume.
The bass is in great shape with a few normal use nicks and dents that I tried to capture in the photos. It comes with a lightly used set of DR Hi beams. I have tried other strings on this bass and always come back to the Hi beams, which Tom installed in the first place. Overall, I just love the wood combination in the bass. The cherry top is gorgeous, and I think it is getting darker and developing more character with time. And the ebony has some figuring in it that I tried to capture in the photos. It is a very full warm tone with a little wooliness in the low notes. This bass doesn't do slapping well in my opinion, but everything else is great.
Price includes shipping CONUS, but I will prefer and discount for a local Boston area sale. I am moving so not looking to trade, but feel free to run things by me. You never know.
Man, I know I am going to regret selling this, but it deserves to be played.
