This hurts, but I'm going to part with my beloved Dingwall 5-string Z1, serial number 3330. This is the real deal and these Zs rarely come up for sale.
If you're looking at this ad you already know what a Dingwall is, so I'm not going to go into a whole long description. I will say that the Zebra series is handmade, including the neck which is, in my opinion, vastly superior to the neck on the Afterburner, ABZ, and Combustion series (there really is no comparison).

I am this bass' second owner. The original owner was in Edmonton, Canada, and I bought it directly from him. This bass has some cosmetic blemishes, but it is an outstanding player. Apparently, this bass was damaged when it was shipped from Dingwall to the original seller, Axe Music Edmonton. The bass was returned to Sheldon Dingwall, who repaired the blemish and returned it to Axe Music where it was sold. The blemish is in the back of the bass, is not visible while you're playing it, and has no impact on the sound whatsoever. No rattling, no nothing. After the first couple days of playing the bass, I forgot the crack was even there. There is also a scratch on the front near the bass knob. I've done my best to show these in the pictures.
The bass comes with both a Dingwall gig bag and a custom hard case (also from Axe). Both have some wear, but are totally functional. Also included are the four original allen wrenches and a new set of Dingwall strings.
The sound of this bass is truly magnificent. There's nothing else like it. The tone across the neck is the most even of any bass I've ever played. You cannot compare the B-string to any other bass. The Bartolini pickups are outstanding. The controls are volume with a push/pull that defeats the preamp, blend, treble, mid, and bass. There are also two switches. The first is a 3-way that controls the midrange. The second is a 2-way that isn't connected to anything at present.
I will miss this bass. This is not a bass to put in a showcase. It's a true player. It will become your go-to bass for rehearsal and playing out. My issue is too many basses, not enough funds, and presure to trim down. My loss is your gain. Get it while you can.
I'm asking $2,750 including insured shipping, CONUS only, which I hope is a fair deal.
