SOLD>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

I've had this Coliseum-300 for about three years, and it's an awesome amp. It's an early 80's solid state version, and it's one of the famous Sunn amps that goes down to 2 ohms, so you can use just about any combination of cabs you wish. Price: $250 plus shipping. These regularly sell for over $300 on Ebay...but I can use the money right now.

Power: 120W @ 8 ohms, 200W @ 4 ohms , 300W @ 2 ohms. This amp has plenty of power even at 8 or 4 ohms.

Why?

Because each band of EQ on this amp has its own preamp. That means you have an extremely unusual ability to turn up or down the gain (with 15 dB of boost and cut) on each channel of EQ. You can shape tone with this amp better than any other I've ever owned, and if you need a bit of gain, just bump every knob a bit!

Weight: 38 pounds. You pay shipping - I will package very carefully with a stout box and plenty of packing material.

NOTE: I will be traveling Friday Dec. 3 through Sunday Dec. 5 and will not be able to answer emails or ship during that time period.

The amp shows less than normal wear for one that's between 20 and 30 years old. The photos show the story - no bent or broken pots, no missing knobs, every function works. This is a versatile, workhorse amp that sounds great and will let you play with just about any combination of cabs you have. Sunn amps are famous, and firing up this one tells you why.

I'm selling now because I bought a Genz-Benz Shuttle with neo speakers and this amp weighs as much as my new amp and one 12" speaker combined. I'm 60 and no longer want to carry heavy gear around!

Just a note to confirm what Pilgrim has said about this super head. I have an identical one that is sensational. I think that Pilgrim bought his after positive reviews, including mine, here on TB. I've had mine for over 10 years and it is one of my favorites. The price is a deal also.

More info since I've had a couple of questions:

1) At the price, I'm not inclined to pay the shipping.

2) You can calculate shipping to your destination using online services at UPS, FedEx or USPS.

3) Point of origin (my location) is Fort Collins, Colorado, 80524. Dimensions of the box in which it's packaged are 18x18x28. Weight is 44 pounds.

Please calculate shipping cost at your convenience. I will ship at actual cost by whatever means you choose. Note: the nearest UPS depot is a half-hour drive from here ONE-way, so I'm not going there. I strongly recommend FedEx Ground or USPS. There is a "UPS Store" only a mile from my house, but they mark up UPS shipments at least 25% and I must pass the additional charges along.
