this looks like an amazing jazz sixers, someone has to take it home. It's gorgeous!

Could the ramp be removed without leaving screw holes in the bass!

Also if u can do a quick sound clip it would be nice since this is custom made and can't be compared to anything else. Something quick with Eq flat showing finger style and slap sound with both pickups on, bridge only, and then neck only. Nothing fancy. It'll take maybe 10mins at the most if you are near a computer with a line in.

How is the neck profile please?

The ramp is actually covering an existing pickup route in the body as the bridge pickup was located there originally. If the ramp were to be removed, that space would either have to be filled (boring) or a third pickup could be added (which is always what I wanted to do).

I will try to get a sound clip up, but my computer has been really glitchy running audacity lately and I'm not sure where my 1/4 to 1/8 adapter is right now.

As far as tone goes I know written descriptions are useless, but I'll try anyway. Run flat, the bass is naturally bright due to wood choice, but not overly so as it's kind of offset by the mellow feel of the Barts. This bass definitely does the aggressive jazz thing best, but that being said, due to the versatility of the preamp, you can get a ton of great tones out of the bass.

Relatively thin front to back and and not tremendously rounded. 19mm at the bridge means it isn't the narrowest at the nut, but the B string is still an easy reach from any point on the fretboard and it's one of the most playable necks I've ever seen on a 6er (coming from a guy who doesn't really have very big hands).

Also are those screw holes I see behind the bridge pickup and on the headstock? What used to be there? What are the 6 knobs for?

They are screw holes. After speaking with the original owner, the screw holes near the bridge were for a midi pickup so he could trigger some drum tracks with the high c (if I remember correctly). I assume the screw holes in the headstock were for a prior string tree. These alterations as well as the pickup routing were all done long before the bass came into my possession. The controls are volume, blend, mid, bass, treble, mid freq.

I forgot that I stumbled upon this video a while ago while trying to figure out more about the origins of this bass:



It shows the bass being played in it's original build configuration. I personally think it sounds better with the Barts and the pickup relocation, but this should give you guys at least some idea. And hopefully it helps slightly with an overall tone example as it may take me a while to get a decent soundclip up.
