(Made in Korea) Ibanez EDB600 Ergodyne active bass

Great condition with very very minimal playwear, other than a bit of light paint wear from a thumb...looks great! (a thumbrest would cover it)

Luthite body...very lightweight and well balanced

2 Humbucker pups...I honestly think you can get absolutely ANY sound you want with this bass. I had no idea that these have electronics that sound this good!

24 frets, 2 octaves, BIG beefy bridge

Volume, blend, bass, mid, treble contols

Very slim D-shape neck with Jazz-size width....very easy fingering

I have never seen any bass more beautiful than this. Not even a brand new bass is this perfect. It looks like a piece of heaven.

On GC there's similar ones that are black going for $199.99-$389.99

Depends on what you mean by "similar" -- if you mean made by the same manufacturer, then yes, you could find a similar bass on GC for $199.99 (plus tax, if you live in a state where they have stores.)

If, on the other hand, you mean having similar qualities and attributes, then no, you are not going to find a similar bass at GC for $200.

I mean that GC is selling 500's and 700's, but not 600's.

Just for the info. I have a Ibanez 600 and you will not find a better bass for this offering price - Great bass - sunstreak highs :o and a fat muddy bottom [whatever you choose to dial in] - looks great ( I regularly get comments on it like "cool bass" , "unique bass what kind is that"? etcetera. Bottom line is I have lots of basses fenders, thunderbirds, MM's, Sadowsky, Lakland and so on { I tell this not for pretention but for scale} - the Ibanez Ergodyne 600 is a special bass that you will not let go of once you get it ~ One thing/terrible misconception about basses is that the more it cost the better it is <now, given on an original purchase you have to shell out at $300.00 plus to get a decent axe> that said, I have found that boutique basses sometimes contain more expensive parts and accessories but that doesn't make it a great bass only expensive and each one I bought was infected with an incurable case of "buyers remorse",:atoz: - - the Ergodyne 600 is a home run for the Gibson/Ibanez family so it would behove anyone to grab one of these while you can - OBTW - I play the 'dyne' at least 75% of the time. Hope this gives some help/clarity about this great bass. GB
