I really can't stress enough, the fact that I don't want to sell this bass. I just got it and I frickin love the way it looks, sounds, plays... but I'm not a rich man and have 2 cars needing work.
The other bass I'm trying to sell isn't moving, so this is the next one in line... :crying:

FENDER POWER JAZZ SPECIAL

'89
Reverse P/J setup
Figured maple neck, rosewood board, 22 fret
Alder (?) body
Active/Passive EQ
9 lbs
8/10 condition (for 22 years old)

Like I said, I just acquired this bass. It's one that I've lusted after for many years and when I got it, I realized it was worth it!
The neck is beautiful, thin, and easy to play.
Frets are in great shape.

The electronics are something I've come to like quite a bit. They use a different setup than just about anything else I've ever played with.
There's a switch that works for "Passive/Low Freq/Mid Freq" adjustment. There's a knob that sweeps the low or mid freq depending on switch position. Once you get used to it, you realize it's kind of like a filter preamp. It is really cool.
The TBX tone works like a regular tone knob, but if you dial it forward, you get a high boost.
And I really love the 3 way switch for pickups. Haven't had that before and I really like it.

The bass is in amazingly good shape for its age. The hardware is clean, the body has minimal wear and tear (1 scratch on back of lower horn, tiny dents here and there), strings are newish.
It's a great bass that's increasing in value (unlike my 55-01 that won't sell).

$550 + shipping US only, Paypal only.

I have a Roadrunner Soft Hardshell case that could be had for an additional $40.
If interested, PM with zip code, as well as case/no case (changes shipping price).

:crying:

OH, and if my Lakland sells, I reserve the right to pull this, as I don't want to sell it.

PMs replied.

I'm sure I will regret it, but if I don't have a car to get to work, I can't earn more bass money...
Or drive to band practice...

(somebody, buy my Lakland instead!)

It's as good as sold on Saturday.
If things fall through, I'll PM those next in line.
:crying:
I'm going to miss this bass.
