Hello all,

I traded for a Waterstone Indra last year hoping I'd like it as much as I liked the Epiphone and Hofner (lower line) violin basses I'd played in stores. I preferred the look of the Indra, however I find that I'm not getting along with the neck as much as I'd hoped, and I wish the body was more hollow. It is a killer sounding bass, but I'm just not in love.

The Indra is a beautiful cherryburst. The PO supplied me with a cool red tortoise pickguard in addition to the creme stocker, and a set of creme knobs that I prefer to the stock chrome ones. It comes with a hard case. The bass is in excellent condition, the case has a split in the Naugahyde at one end.

Since I first posted this I've solved my need for a fretless, and a change of strings (lighter gauge) has made the width, spacing easier to live with for now. So all I'm really interested in for trade is a fully hollow (not semi hollow) short scale of some sort or a cool medium scale ABG.

Trade is preferred at this point, so I'm bumping up my asking price to something that seems more in line with the value. $400 shipped.

Here's a link to the transaction that brought the Indra my way: http://www.talkbass.com/forum/showthread.php?t=682778

Thanks!
Dennis

I play with a narrow, non grippy strap (as seen) and don't seem to notice neck dive. I wear this bass lower than I would a jazzier thing, about flat. My other bass right now is a Rockbass Corvette and I'd say the balance is about the same.

I've changed the original post to reflect a change in my priorities. The bass had heavy strings on it when I got it. I put on some lighter strings last night which made the spacing and width a little easier to deal with. This is on the back burner for now but I'd still love a fully hollow short scale. I just can't get over the fun of controlling feedback!!!

Back from the dead. I just finished a shortscale fretless build that does everything I need right now. So the Indra is back on the block. I'm running short on funds so the preference is for a straight sale but I'd listen to trade offers. Cash price is $325 shipped CONUS.

Bumping up and a price drop. I'll do $300 shipped conus. Comes with original case, installed Chromes and fairly fresh rounds that came on it. I could use a nice overdrive/distortion pedal, maybe a flanger in partial trade.

Up! Cool bass, cool tone in the Club or Violin vein. Wider string spacing, though, so cool for people who prefer that.

I'm interested in this, but I'm curious what is up with the string spacing there. Especially A and D. They look much closer than the other spacing, or maybe the D string is shifted up, closer to the A?
Is that just the angle of the picture?
