Its not like an FX25 where you get huge low end but at lower settings you get a nice low end swell to the envelope like a Dunlop 105q on a low setting. Once the filter is open it's pretty expressive and you can bet some popping filter sounds and , boostsyisms, it has a volume control, filter control and a distortion which all can be used independently. The distortion is pretty dark but adding the filter to it you get some gritty filter sounds. This would be a great for finger funk filter fun.
It's a dual cascading fuzz, right switch uses the grind/tone/level knobs and is a pretty broad range of fuzz tones, from woolly to gated (especially with tone bypass) to sizzle. The punch ( left footswitch) can be used as a second gain stage fuzz for a great boosted fuzz sound or on it's own and the punch knob is that channels tone/volume control.
It's a very versatile fuzz pedal and a great too for someone who uses a lot of fuzz, having the extra boost to the fuzz tone is great for those fuzzes out songs where you start nasty and need to get nastier.
A little lunchtime snack of noodley-ness I whipped up while setting up on a rehearsal. This is just the filter knob on the Rastop, a little closed then opened up a bit. With the distortion knob added you can get more of a Bass Balls filter sound.
I have MXR phase 90, boss CEB-3 chours, and modtone lemon squeezer comp. All are less than 2 months old except cbe-3
I would be willing to talk trades for Fulltone dist.
