1975 Fender Jazz

Alder Body
Maple Neck

The good:

-Approx. 8.5 lbs, very light and resonant! (especially for a 70's jazz). Great player with a great broken-in feel.

-This bass currently has Sadowsky single-coil pickups installed, which sound fantastic. I do have the original pickups (see photo). The output of the original pickups is quite low, so I'm guessing that they might need to be rewound.

-Original pots date to 1974

The not-so-good:

-The finish on the body has been stripped to bare wood.

-The bridge has one saddle replaced, the rest are original.

-I do not have the original case, pickup covers, pickguard or thumb rest. When I bought the bass, it had a replacement white pickguard which I will include.

Don't think that is a '75. More likely a early to mid '74.

If it were a '75 it would have bullet truss rod and a 3-bolt neck plate. Also it would have the smaller "JAZZ BASS" logo on the headstock.

Not necessarily - some early '75s are still 4 bolt and when they first switched to 3 bolt they still had the same headstock logo. Kind of a transitional era.

Please let me know should the buyer for some reason not want the original pickups. I have a jazz bass that needs a pair from that era. Thanks!

PM's replied. Also, if anyone wants the bass without the Sadowsky pickups, I will drop the price accordingly (but keep in mind the original pickups do need to be rewound).
