Yup, the Genz has replaced the Trace. So the Trace has to go. Can’t afford two such awesome amps.

Good to very good condition. The original back cover is missing, was missing when I got it. The pic shows a replacement front grill, but I have the original. The TE logo has been moved to the new grill, but could easily go back to the original. What’s on the front would work nicely on the back.

All pots and switches are dead silent. Everything works, and sounds awesome. Zero issues that I know of. Unsure of the age of the tubes.

I’ll pack it and insure the heck out of it and put it on your front porch for $850 Minus $100 for a local, no-shipping deal. (CONUS only, otherwise let's talk). More pics coming.

I'd rather sell than trade, but run offers by me. Worst I can do is say no :)

trade interests would include:

a decent p or j bass (plus your cash)
a good 2x12, 8 ohm cab (plus your cash)
gk 700rb or 1001rb (plus your cash)

or just (your cash) :D

lowered price ($1,000 packed and shipped CONUS)

would also consider a nice 200 or so watt combo amp as partial trade

I have a GK 1001RBII I'd love to trade, but unfortunately my basement just flooded and I need to take care of my finances before I splurge on any more bass gear. Maybe if it's still for sale I'll ping you :)

These are mid 90's, 220/440 peak printed on amp, 48.5 lbs, 4 or 8 ohms, 4 KT-88 power tubes and 4 12ax7s for pre.

Words to describe tone? I can't do it justice, I've owned all the Trace tube amps except one version of the V4 and they all sound great. I like the Vtype (and the V4 I owned) because you can push it to a bit of break up a little easier (sooner, not as loud) than an SVT and it weights so much less. Any time I use it the sound guys all say, "There's nothing like the sound of a tube amp."

If you don't play stadiums, these amps are great.
