Who's ready to step up and be the next convert to the sound and play-ability that is Dingwall?
I got this just about a month ago . . . brought it to one practice . . . loved it so much . . . that I bought a brand new Afterburner within the next week. So, I'd like to sell this to make up a little of the cost difference. Plus, I truly believe the magic has to be passed on for the next person to try.
I've got just over $1k into it with the new strings, and will sell for $935 shipped.
This very same bass would sell for just over $1250 new . . . Plus an additional $135 for the case.
Specs:
> Alder body, transparent white finish, with Amber pickguard
> 5 pc Maple neck with rosewood fretboard
> Combustion FD-3A pickups
> EMG 2-band preamp
> Assembled in China (using wood and components from Canada and the USA)
> Inspection/QC done at Dingwall shop in Canada prior to initial sale
> Multi-scale - 34" G to a 37" B
> 18mm string spacing at the bridge
> Fresh set of Dingwall stainless strings ~$50 value (just a few hours play time on them ... no need to change them anytime soon)
> It's about 9 lbs. (bath scale)

The condition is as near perfect as any used bass I've ever owned. I can't find a mark, ding, scratch, or bit of buckle-rash on the body. The head-stock and fretboard the same. For reasons of full-disclosure, you can feel very slight indentations/imperfections on the back of the neck in the area of the 3rd thru 6th frets. Like maybe it was dropped or banged, very lightly, against something on the back of the neck once? Maybe it left the factory that way? Don't know. You can't see them, even in different lighting, I've tried. It's very, very, subtle. I never noticed it at all when when playing it . . . only when cleaning and polishing it up did I detect it.
It comes shipped in a very good condition SKB hard-shell case (pics available upon request).
