Hey folks!

I have decided to part ways with one of my three Dingwall basses. This is my 4-string voodoo. I don't play this 4-string nearly enough to justify keeping it.

Features include: 18V active pickup system, bartolini pickups, master volume, pickup selector (neck, both parallel, both series, bridge), bass boost/cut, treble boost/cut. There is a hipshot d-tuner on the E string. The colour of the bass is Whale Pool Blue. The bass is in absolutely mint condition and has been very well taken care of. Included with the bass is a Dingwall softshell padded gig bag.

Asking $2500

Let me know if you have any questions,
Thanks!

I am sure of the EXACT year of manufacture of the bass since I am second owner.

The serial number is 3339. I bought it used about 6 years ago. My best guess is that the bass is approximately 10 years old.

I could find out from Sheldon Dingwall the exact date of manufacture if necessary. He is really good at answering e-mails, and I'm sure he would be more than happy to shed a little more light on exact year this bass was built.

Let me know about any other questions, and thanks for the interest in the bass!

I just sent a message to Dingwall inquiring about the year the bass was built.

As a sidenote: I have a 6-string Dingwall Z1 with serial number 3566, which I bought brand new in late 2004. The serial number on the 4-string is 3339, so it is only a little over 200 basses prior.

I will post the exact year once I get an e-mail back from Dingwall.

I just received a reply from Dingwall and they told me that the bass would have shipped out of their shop sometime between November 2001 and January 2002. So there you have it.. the bass is almost exactly 10 years old.

And as for the 6-string.. I thought about selling it at one point to fund another Dingwall bass I wanted, but I've ultimately decided that I am going to hang on to it. It was my first Dingwall bass that I custom ordered and waited almost a year for it... it's a little hard to part with something like that!
