Hi,

Being a guitar player, I bought this bass with the sincere intention of learning fretless bass. It is absolutely beautiful and plays great. Unfortunately, it has been barely played...and has sat most of its life in its gig bag.

As anyone familiar with Tom Clement's work can attest, the quality of this bass build is amazing.

Here are the specs:
  • Body: walnut facing over mahogany
  • Neck: mahogany w/wenge stringers with bloodwood lined fretless board
  • Electronics: Nordstrand MM 5.2, Volume with pull up passive then treble mid bass
  • Scale: 34"
  • Case: Reunion Blues gig bag - very nice

Price is $1650 shipped to CONUS (paypal ok to confirmed address). While I have been a lurker here and never posted a classified ad before, I have good recommendations from TGP and my ebay feedback is 100%. Please post questions. Also, I have more photos...so please send me a message and I will send them right out.

Thanks for checking this out!

-Sean

Looks great. Wish it were unlined but still... these lines are kinda subtle. Dig the top. Is the pre a Bart, Nordstrand (like the pup) or something else?

Thanks! When Tom sent me the photo of the raw walnut, I knew it was going to be great. The preamp is a Bartolini HR-4.3.

Let me know if you have anymore questions.

Wow, that is some awesome looking walnut. Looks like a goncalo alves/walnut hybrid or something. Is that enhanced grain?

Bump for beauty.

I think I can answer this. If by "enhanced grain" you are asking if it was stained? No the body was sanded to 400 grit then it was coated with "Natural" Watco Danish oil then wet sanded with the same.

Nice playing by the way. :bassist: If I could play like that I would have never have had time to teach myself to build.

Thanks for chiming in, Tom. The grain is one of the wilder walnuts I have seen...almost like a ziricote.

Thanks!

This is just a bump to say I have had a lot of inquiries via private messages, but the bass is still available. Feel free to make an offer!

Thanks!

Bump for a beautiful Clement - If it were a 6 at that price I would be the new proud owner.
