I have a set of Fender 9120 .58-.110 Nylon tapewounds cut for 4-in-line short scale. No issues with the length, cut for string thru body so extra long for a top load, well within the silk winding zone. Barely played, tried and did not like .

To me kinda thin / twangy like a Dano or Fender etc. bass VI sort of vibe, not my sound.
