I have a Warwick Corvette Standard fretless, german made. It weighs a ton (8-9 lbs?)..I don't really know alot about Warwick basses, never been a huge fan. I got this in trade for a Les Paul Studio ( a really nice one, kinda wish I would have kept it!) from a local deal.
I have literally recorded one song with it, and thats about all the play it has seen. I am not sure how many hands it's been through. It's been modded w/ EMG active PU's (not sure of the model, and I don't really want take the bass apart, but they are not the cheapie "hz" model). The only bummer is whoever did the mod drilled a "extra" hole from the back through the electronics cavty to install the jack, and removed the jack from the body side(??), so there is a hole there (body edge, where the original jack was wired), and the "extra" hole in the body for the jack. Kind of a weird "mod", but everything works fine.
It sounds good, I put some D'Addario flats on it a while ago (it had roundwounds on it when I got it..I guess whoever did the "mod" was looking for....something...). The fingerboard shows a very small amount of wear from the roundwounds, but the wood is in very good shape. It actually sounds really good, can do the "jaco" thing pretty well. I just don't really play fretless, and if I did, I should probably start with a lined version, as my intonation on this thing sucks!
Anyway, I figure it's worth somewhere between $600-$700? I have a nice Warwick gig bag as well, would like to trade for a P bass, or...?? I can e-mail more photos upon request. Show me what you got.
Thanks
