Conklin GTBD7 Bill Dickens Signature 7-String Bass Guitar
You are looking at my recently acquired Conklin GTBD7 Bill Dickens Signature 7-String Bass Guitar.
I purchased it in the last year to compliment my main bass, a Conklin GT7 Fretless bass.
I bought it on eBay as “new” from a guitar shop (it still had the tagger on it for $1899) who did not disclose it had a few minor blemishes on the finish so I was able to get the price down after the sale. The blemishes look worse in the pictures than in person and do not affect the playability in any way.
I am selling the bass because the taper of the neck/strings is different between the GT7 and the GTBD7 (the string spacing is more narrow on the GTBD7) and I do not like having to adjust to the different string spacing so I am “down grading” to get another GT7 for my fretted bass.
Other than recessing the gold Straploks (which I do with all of my basses, so that they NEVER fall); it is as I purchased.
EXCELLENT CONDITION
Seven-piece Hard Maple/Purpleheart Neck with Purpleheart fingerboard
Swamp Ash Body Wings with Curly Maple top
Clear finish
34” Scale ~ New Sidewinder Strings from Conklin
Two Octave 24 Fret Med Jumbo Frets
Bartolini "Bill Dickens" Model Pickups with Custom Bartolini Parametric Frequency Selector, Brilliance Control, Volume, Blend & Full EQ
Thinnest neck (16” radius) I have ever seen coupled with low-action make this bass super fast!
