Like many around this joint, I'm having some serious GAS pains and deals are in the works! Sooooo, as much as it pains me, I'm going to put up my NS 2A. Best I can tell it is a 1987 model. Super dark board and nice vintage tinge to the white body. It has the upgraded EMG's and the Korean Haz copy. This pre is hot! IMO, the Haz copy gets you about 90% there on the real Haz tone.

Now, this is an older bass and it does have a few nicks here and there....nothing crazy though. There is some fret wear but it really doesn't affect the playability at all. I tried to capture it in the pics. The neck is sleek and fast that's for sure and yes, those vinyl decals are included...no charge. :D This is a light one at 9 lbs. even on my postal scale.

I'm asking $470 shipped to the lower 48. Paypal preferred.

I have owned 3 NS-2As all great basses.

The active EMGs with the Korean Haz really gets a great growl

If I didn't have 2 white ones exactly like this I would definitely jump on this.....For the price guys nothing touches this. This plays and sounds as good as any $1000 bass you can buy!!!!!:bassist:

Have the pots on the haz copy been replaced with different values, or could it still be switched to passive pickups?

Oh man, good question, I have no idea though. Maybe one of the guru's will chime in and I can take a look inside.

If it is like the NS-2A Korean Haz circuit I have.

It was designed to work with Passive Pickups originally but it works with the Active fine also.

When used with active, if you turn the up the treble all the way it gets very bright but it still sounds great and works fine.

Can you take a photo of the cavity and we will see if the pots are the same as on my Korean Haz

That fretboard looks so clean! I regret getting rid of my white NS-2A...wish I could take this off you hands! Excellent bass and a really good dude to boot!
