I got this guitar a couple months ago and I love it. Problem is, I got a 5 string that I love more. On top of that, the transmission in my truck is going to cost more than expected to get fixed. This is not a "must sell," but I would like to move it on to someone that appreciates US Laklands for their quality and playability. Serial #580 indicates this was the last bass Lakland built in 2001. It began life as a passive JJ, I think that was model #4-07 (someone correct me if I'm wrong). When I got it, it had been converted to a PJ, with Lakland/Hanson pups and an Audere 4 band pre-amp. I have not done anything else to it but play it a few times. It sounds great. Comes with the cream Lakland HSC and three extra pick-guards. I'm asking $1800 shipped CONUS. Not interested in any trades. Pay thru PayPal to protect us both

I used to own this. This bass has seen a lot of changes. It came to me as a PJ with a bart system in it. I sent it to Lakland to have the Hanson/Lakland pickups and electronics installed. I sold it a few months later for reasons unknown to me:D.
I don't know how it sounds now but it sounded incredibly good with the Hanson stuff. The neck is probably the best neck I've played and it's light. The birdseye on the neck is also incredible.

It should be alder because it has a 44-94 shaped body w/ an opaque finish. 44-94s w/ opaques finishes are alder bodied "Classic"s.

Only a few dual J basses w/ the 44-94 shaped bodies have been built and most people call the dual Js or 44-JJ, etc. But they're not called 44-07s or 4-07s, that name is given to 44-94 bodied basses w/ 2 Chisonic pickups (humbuckers or single coils in the larger 'bucker casings). Confusing huh? LOL.

Great bass that I'd love to own, especially since it can go back and forth from an active P/J to a J/J w/ just some soldering and a pickguard change... very cool!!

Paul, you have some sweet basses on the block. This one is no slouch!!!

I'm diggin' the BEM and flexibility to convert back and forth between JJ and PJ at will.

Sweet price point too!

That's what I have to say as well!

This is a super cool bass with a killer BEM neck!

The dbl j with a pre were called 4-63 I forget what the passive versions were called.

Bump for a GREAT LOGger....

Help Paul "off the couch" and buy this! He already bought the "replacement" and has to move this before Mrs. Nauti gets upset! :)
