SOLD!

1996 Warwick Fortress Masterman (made in Germany) in good condition. I'm the original owner, and up until a few years ago this was a regular player in my rotation. I haven't played it in a while, so it's time for it to move on to another home that will use it. There are some dents and dings that I've tried to photograph (that's my pinky finger for size reference), none of them are really bad, but this was a player that saw quite a few shows, so the condition shows that. Never abused. All electronics work as they should. Active MEC pickup and electronics.

This one has the brushed / matte nickle hardware which to me looks much better than the gold hardware of the same era did.

I think I have D'Addario nickle wounds on it right now. I included some pics of at the 3rd fret to show the wear. The frets are a little dirty, but not much wear.

Comes with the strap locks for the built in receivers, and will come in the original Warwick gig bag.

I'm looking for [DEL]$850[/DEL] $800 (or best offer) shipped and insured in Con-US only. Paypal only please.

Trades considered:
-G&L SB-1 (90's era with first gen headstock.)
-5 Strings that are 34" scale or shorter. Jazz or Precision style basses. Not a fan of instruments that look like furniture.

Any questions please ask. I've tried to be as thorough as possible.

Specs from the Warwick website:
2-piece Maple body
Wenge neck (3-piece for 4-strings)
saddle width 38,5 mm / 24. fret 63 mm (4-strings)
neck thickness: 1. fret 21 mm / 18. fret 24,5 mm
bolt-on neck
Wenge fingerboard
long scale 86,4 cm (34")
24 frets from patented bronze / silver alloy
1 Volume, 1 Balance, 2 tone pots Bass and Treble
2-piece Warwick bridge
length 111.5 cm (4-strings)
weight 4 kg (4-strings)

On to the pictures!

Ummm. I'm guessing that's a Fortress Masterman with a Fortress One Truss Rod Cover?

I'm digging the Green Color!

That's the way I bought it! :D

I believe I read in another post that the Masterman Truss Rod Covers are fairly rare, and a lot of Fortress basses had the Fortress One truss covers regardless of the actual model.

Cool! I've seen them with just "WARWICK TRC's as well.

Not a Good pic, but I had a "Fortress Masterman" Cover on mine:

I'm digging the Green Bump! Too bad you're not looking for an SB-2 with Bowling Ball finish!
