Here's one for you Ibby fans out there...a limited run Ibanez SR990 built in the Fujigen (JAPAN) factory in 1999. Limited numbers, not mass produced. Basically an SR800 with a mahogany core, exotic quilted Sapele top (a head turner, for sure!), multi laminate neck, AFR P/J pups with the Vari-Mid EQ. One minor surface scratch on the back (pictured). No case or bag.

Killer looks! Infinite tonal possibilities! Top notch quality! Budget price!!!

Only selling because it doesn't get used and as versatile as this bass is, my Clement has all of my "basses" covered, lol.

I could really use the cash right now, but the only trade I would consider is a MarkBass LMIII.

Nut 38 or 41mm
Back thickness (flat or deep?) neck......
Most important: super low action w/o buzz

That is one nice looking bass. And yes I am a new Ibster.

All research I've done (there are limited resources) say the fretboard is wenge...I'll post a pic and let you all be the judge. Nice oval inlays.

Weight: 7.6 lbs
Nut: 38 mm
Body thickness: 1 3/4" max thickness
Skinny and thin neck like most Soundgears i've played
Nice low action

I did look the bass over this evening and found a small indentation on the back of the neck at about the 8th fret where it looks like the previous owner laid it up against an amp or some such surface.

Another indentation on the lower bout edge near the non-stacked knob.

That's about it....

Hey, just letting you know the fretboard on this bass is rosewood, but the neck is wenge w/ bubinga stripes. And a note to any potential buyers; I have played these basses and they really are fantastic. The neck is super slim and fast, it is very light weight and they are very versatile in tone. They are a real pleasure to play and the this particular model was only offered for a couple of years, so it is not often that you see one of these come available for sale, much less in good condition. Seller or buyer, I hope this helps :)

Looks like the body is mahogany topped by quilted Sapele.
The neck is a bubinga/wenge laminate topped by a rosewood fingerboard.

As far as trade bait, in addition to an MarkBass LMIII, I'd also consider a MarkBass SD800.

PRICE DROP BUMP!!!

Okay...this weekend wasn't the greatest for my family.

My wife sideswiped my realtor's Benz as we were looking at new property...minor damage, but still $$$:rollno:

Then we spent the Memorial Day holiday in the ER after my youngest busted her knee open necessitating six stitches $$$.:crying:

In any event, I'm a bit more motivated to move on this to offset these upcoming bills.

I'm going to take trades off the table for this, but for now...

To my knowledge, Soundgears with VariTones controls are set up as follows (clockwise, looking at the front of the bass):

12 o'clock: Pickup blend (p/j)
3 o'clock: Volume
6 o'clock: Stacked knob treble boost/cut and bass boost/cut
9 o'clock: Stacked knob mid frequency and mid boost/cut
