2005 MTD 535-21 #1216 up for sale -- of course I hesitate doing this, and reserve the right to come to my senses at any moment. However, just made another significant purchase, and logic dictates that I need to replenish funds. Really hate to sell this one, since it's so damn awesome.
Body is ash with a walnut crotch top. Neck is ash with maple fingerboard. This wood combination strikes a really good balance between fingerstyle and slap -- it sounds great regardless. String balance is off the charts, and the B string is phenomenally good -- Mike really knows how to deliver. Playability is sick -- goes as low as you want (if that's your thang), and the notes jump off the fretboard.
Bass is in a very good condition. There's a couple of nicks near the truss rod cover. There's also a tiny mark near the 21st fret, also shown in the picture.
Weight is around 9.8lbs. Comes with MTD soft shell case. Also included is Mike's original letter that came with the bass.
Price is $3000 shipped in CONUS.
