I just acquired this in a trade and as cool as it is... I need money more.
The guy who I traded with said it was an '80. It's in pretty nice shape for 32 years old. Some nicks on the neck, wear on the body, but better than the average one I've seen.
The controls all work, though I really don't know what they are.
It could use a new set of strings.
The case is in great shape.
If I had a use for it, I'd put flats on it and join a reggae/dub band in a heartbeat! It's a really nice piece and if you like these basses, this is a nice example.
Hardware is shiny and not pitted.
