I just got this bass in a trade and it is excellent but of course as always...i have bad gas. Its under 9lbs. sounds great and the B string is killer at 34" scale. After the mods, this B plays better than some 35" scale basses and there is not a 34" scale with a better one. The B is not just good, it's superior. Totally upgraded, Carvin J99A pups, all hipshot hardware: Hipshot A style string through bridge, Hipshot Ultralite tuners, Bass mods 3 band pre w/ push pull passive active controls. MTD asymetrical neck, comfy cut aways, zero fret. 19mm string spacing. What's there not to like? LOL
It sounds similiar to a SB5000 without all that weight the Carvin basses can have with all the MTD mojo.
